1. Frequency response
This parameter is one of the very important indicators for evaluating the quality of headphones. This parameter does not need to have a specific digital range, but depends on the overall response. For example, the entire sound of the headset sounds well balanced, the tone is never too bright or too dark, the high, middle and low frequency energy is evenly distributed, and the fusion between frequency bands is naturally smooth. No abrupt and burr.
2. Sensitivity and impedance
Earphone sensitivity refers to the sound pressure level at which the earphone can emit sound when 1 milliwatt (mW) of power is input to the earphone. The unit of sound pressure level is decibels (dB). The greater the sound pressure, the greater the volume. Impedance refers to the obstructive effect on alternating current.
Sensitivity and impedance should be looked at together. To make a simple judgment, the higher the sensitivity, the louder the sound will be, and the smaller the impedance, the easier it will be for the earphone to be driven.
3. Is it hard to hear
Good headphones, because the sound is very real and natural, just like hearing the sounds of nature in our daily life, people are not prone to fatigue.
There are still many criteria for judging whether the earphone is resistant to hearing, such as distortion, high frequency dullness, ear-piercing, and dizziness are all bad performances.
4. Is the resolution good?
To put it plainly, the resolution of the headset is the ability of the headset to restore the details of the sound.
Good headphones, you can hear many details, such as the friction of hands and strings, the breathing of human voices, the sound of touching lips and teeth, and so on. It’s like a singer singing to you in your ears.
5. Is the sense of presence good?
As the name implies, it means that you feel like you are on the scene after you put on the headphones. Good earphones will make you forget the existence of earplugs. Musical instruments and human voices are transmitted from different directions, giving you a strong sense of presence.
On the contrary, if you always feel that you are wearing headphones and feel that the sound is coming from the headphones, then the headphones are just so-so.
6. The material and shape of the headset
As the saying goes, “a good horse is equipped with a good saddle”, a pair of good quality headphones are not only affected by the above factors, in fact, the material and shape of the headphones will also affect the sound quality of the headphones.
At present, most of the earphones on the market are made of plastic and metal. Generally speaking, earphones with plastic shells are much cheaper than earphones with metal shells, but if the earphone shell is made of all metal cutting, the price is quite high.
